The first Final of the 2024 Piala Presiden will take place today at 8:15 PM at the MBPJ Stadium. Selangor FC's under-20 (U20) squad managed to secure a ticket to the 2024 Piala Presiden Final for the second year under Firdaus Tan Aziz after being eliminated in the Semi-Finals last season.

Started the 2024 Piala Presiden tournament as the leader of Group B with 38 points accumulated from 12 wins and two draws. In addition, 32 goals were scored by the Merah Kuning U20 squad. On August 9, the team qualified for the Quarter Finals with the Negeri Sembilan FC, Kelantan Darul Naim FC and PDRM FC squads.

The 4-0 result (5-1 aggregate) result against the AMD under-17 team in the second leg of the Semi-Final at the UM Arena Stadium last week was definitely positive for the club. Here are the results of the Quarter-Finals to Semi-Final matches for the U20 Red Giants squad:-

Head Coach of the Selangor FC under-20 squad, Firdaus Tan Aziz, is aware of the strength of the opposing team but he is confident that his players will put up a good fight, "Thank God, we have been given the opportunity to be in the finals of the Piala Presiden this season. We already know that this Final match will be played over two legs, at home and away. We did not make any changes, preparations are as usual and of course some important things were highlighted to face the Johor Darul Ta'zim III. Our focus is on this home match first, then we will plan for the next course of action in Johor according to the conditions of tomorrow's match. Although they have their strengths heading into the final stage, we also have ours and we will give them a good fight."

In the official press conference of the Piala Presiden Final yesterday, Danish Irfan, the team captain was also confident with his teammates, "As the team captain, I will try to give positive words to my teammates to help them perform with high spirit on the field. I believe that each team has its own strength and we choose to believe and focus on our own team to face this final."
